Numerical control (also known as computer numerical control, or CNC) is the automated control of machining tools (such as milling machines, lathes, grinders, drills, milling cutters and 3D printers) using a computer.
Machine tending means to load and/or unload a given machine with parts or material. Automated machine tending refers to the integration of a robot into a machine tending application for the purpose of loading and unloading the machine tool without the intervention of an operator. Once the machine tool is loaded, the program is restarted automatically by the robot.
